Stronzer Vs Westphal on March 26th, 2009!

BMCA President & CB7 Parks Chairwoman Barbara Stronzer has asked Mosholu Preservation Corporation President Dart Westphal to bring his "Mosholu Parkway' program to CB7 for discussion.

Two years ago, Mr Westphal brought these designs to BMCA & CB7. At the time he indicated major re-work on the pavements and more greenery on the parkway but indicated the plan has nothing to do with the "service roads" as that was government's responsibility.

Bedford Mosholu Community Association (BMCA) is a 35 year old organization focused on quality of life issues in Bedford park, including cleaning up Mosholu Parkway, annually.

Mosholu Preservation Corp is a Montefiore Hospital Affiliate, assisting in quality of life in Norwood for 28 years.

THE QUAD-is a 4 member institutional alliance (Montefiore Hospital, Fordham University, Botanical Garden & the Bronx Zoo) that is 2 years old pushing this program. They recently pushed and got approved the recent re-fixing of the Fordham Plaza-next to Sears on Fordham Road.

Many wonder if this private institutional partnership should be receiving public money for private actions. Even Don Bluestone, head of Montefiore Hospital Community Center recently was overheard at a recent Community Board meeting saying, "Who does Dart think he is-Henry Moses"?
